If the once small puppy you used to have is now a big dog that runs at cars, jumps on people, and barks at night, keeping you and your neighbors awake, then it’s time to get a remote trainer. A humane breakthrough in dog training, a remote trainer is a package deal where you get a remote dog training collar and an owners device, which is the control unit. This device eliminates the need to be right next to your dog to regain control.

The dog wears the remote trainer collar in the same way as it wears a normal collar, you should remove the normal collar so there is nothing else to get in the way. The collar includes in its design a small box with two electrodes that have to be in conctact with your dog’s skin. If your dog has extremely long hair, you might need to cut it a bit before making it wear the collar.

The remote control that comes with the collar will allow you to make the collar give different levels of correction to the dog in the form of static shocks in order to call its attention during training.

How To Begin Training

Training should commence as normal with the remote trainer. For example when learning to sit, you may choose to reinforce the word ‘sit’ with a small static shock, keeping your dog on his leash.

Once your dog has gotten the hang of the excercise, then it’s time to try the collar and the remote but without the leash. Should the dog choose to disobey, you can increase the level of static while repeating the command until he obeys.

In addition, you can also use remote trainers to teach your dog a variety of tricks or safety features, such as calling it back to you when it runs after running cars. It also makes walking with him a more pleasant experience as you can say goodbye to endless shouting, and look forward to a bouncing dog, tail wagging as he returns.
